Federal and state officials marked a $57.5 million FRA grant for the Cocoa Brightline station on October 6. The station goes on 33 acres Brightline bought at US 1 and SR 528 in 2021 for $12.5 million. Service is targeted for 2030.

The Framework Group is asking the Cocoa CRA for about $6.23 million in tax increment reimbursement to build 242 apartments and 2,800 square feet of retail at 430 Brevard Avenue. The board reviews the final application on October 5.
