Brevard County Entertainment Pipeline: Topgolf, Dave & Buster's, Lynora's, and a Pro Soccer District
Orlando Business Journal ran a story on September 27 about Brevard County entertainment development, and reporter Riley Benson interviewed me for it.
My point was about the people moving here for work. Brevard has always been known for the beaches, the river, and being outdoors. On Reddit, new arrivals from all over the country keep asking the same thing: "What the heck is there to do here?" Developers and investors are starting to answer it.
What Is Planned for Brevard County Entertainment
Topgolf, Viera: a $28 million, two-story venue with 64 hitting bays near The Avenue Viera. It was still in county permitting as of April, and no opening date has been announced, per Viera Voice.
Dave & Buster's, Viera: a 26,000 square foot restaurant and arcade north of Wickham Road, between I-95 and Lake Andrew Drive. The Viera Company reported the plans approved in May. It will be the chain's first Brevard location.
Lynora's, Downtown Melbourne: an Italian restaurant with about 130 seats at 529 E New Haven Ave, targeting a late October opening, per Florida Today.
Space Coast pro soccer district, Melbourne: 53.8 acres near Melbourne Orlando International Airport, with about 60,000 square feet planned for retail and food and beverage.
The soccer district is my project. Reach is handling the commercial leasing for it.
Lynora's and the Smaller Operators
I told OBJ the demand goes past the big national names. Lynora's is the example. It is a family-owned Italian restaurant from Palm Beach County, and it took space on New Haven Avenue.
RCRE Take
The projects sit in two places. Topgolf and Dave & Buster's are both in Viera, near The Avenue. Lynora's and the soccer district are both in Melbourne, one downtown and one by the airport.
Makoto's To Go signed at Stadium Square in Viera more than a year before its planned opening.
