Dream Chaser's KSC Return and the 500,000 SF Space Prep Plan

The Sierra Space Dream Chaser spaceplane Tenacity is slated to ship back to Kennedy Space Center for final Florida launch preparations ahead of a year-end 2026 inaugural free-flyer mission, per a July report from Talk of Titusville. The same report says All Points Logistics has signed an exclusive 64-acre NASA lease at KSC and plans an approximately 500,000 square foot Space Prep facility complex near the historic Launch and Landing Facility runway, intended to support post-mission Dream Chaser reprocessing from 2026 onward.

Sierra Space Dream Chaser Timeline

According to the report, Tenacity completed acoustic testing at KSC in early 2026, described as its final launch certification test in Florida, then went back to Colorado for further testing and modification work. The report has the vehicle returning to KSC for final launch preparations, with the inaugural free-flyer mission planned to launch on a ULA Vulcan Centaur from Cape Canaveral by the end of 2026. All Points Logistics' 64-Acre Space Prep Plan

The report says the planned Space Prep complex would sit near the Launch and Landing Facility runway and handle Dream Chaser after it flies, with reprocessing work intended to run from 2026 onward. All Points Logistics is a Merritt Island name we have covered before, and 64 acres near the runway is a serious footprint for a single ground-processing operation. Nothing in the report describes an approved site plan or a construction start, so file this as a reported plan on a reported lease.

If you own warehouse or flex product in Titusville or on Merritt Island, a complex of the reported size is worth tracking through construction and into operations. Projects like this pull in contractors, subcontractors, parts suppliers, and service vendors, and most of them need conventional space outside the federal gate. That demand lands on North Brevard first, in a market where industrial demand already runs well ahead of available space.

For a tenant or buyer trying to get positioned near KSC, the practical move is to work the inventory that exists now rather than wait for the reported project to break ground. Brevard industrial listings in the north county trade fast when they are priced right, and a 2026 reprocessing timeline, if it holds, does not leave much time for a long search.
