Blue Origin Rocket Park: $330M Expansion Finishes Summer 2027
Updated: Oct 21
Blue Origin published an account of its Florida facilities, from the Blue Origin Rocket Park campus to its launch pads, on October 16, 2026, written by Ian Richardson, its senior vice president of operations. The company says it has invested more than $3 billion in facilities and infrastructure across the state, employs more than 5,000 people here with 500 Florida suppliers, and has more than doubled its footprint in the last couple of years to more than 20 sites across Brevard and Orange counties.
Blue Origin Rocket Park: $330 Million Expansion
Rocket Park is the company's 1.37-million-square-foot manufacturing campus near NASA's Kennedy Space Center. A $330 million expansion now underway will build New Glenn's 9x4 second stage. When it is complete in the summer of 2027, the post says, it will allow production of up to 150 upper stages a year. The company is also adding automated machining, welding, material handling and inspection equipment, plus fairing preparation, chemical processing, tooling and storage.
Integration Facilities at the Cape
A customer integration facility is being built with the United States Space Force at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, with four payload bays, two encapsulation bays and a multi-manifest processing area. A separate vertical integration facility is under construction to support integration of New Glenn 9x4. Blue Origin says its vertical integration facility at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station will serve as a booster processing facility, receiving recovered first stages, inspecting them and preparing them for refurbishment.
At Launch Complex 36, LC-36A is being restored after the anomaly earlier this year and LC-36B is under construction as the operational home for New Glenn 9x4. The company has filed an Environmental Assessment to raise the permitted launch rate at LC-36 from 12 to 50 a year, and says it plans additional New Glenn pads on the Space Coast built to the LC-36B design.
Port Canaveral is home to Jacklyn, New Glenn's sea-based landing platform, with two more platforms in work. Teams in Cocoa and Melbourne handle fabrication, tooling, thermal protection systems and development, while Orlando and Titusville house logistics and materials operations. The post says the infrastructure is designed for multiple flights per week by the end of the decade.
